AUSTRALIA TOUR OF SRI LANKA 2022: Australia defeated Sri Lanka by 3 wickets in the second T20I series played at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. In this match, Australia won the toss and decided to bowl first and chased down the target of Sri Lanka. Where Australia’s team chased the target in 17.5 overs.

Sri Lanka team scored 124 runs in 20 overs and lost 9 wickets. Where Sri Lanka batsman Charith Aslanak scored the most runs for his team, where he scored 3 runs. Another batsman Kusal Mendis scored 36 runs, while Dasun Shanaka scored 14 runs and Bhanuka Rajapaksa scored 13 runs to give his team a strong target against Australia.

Cricket Australia tweeted on Twitter and said, “A nervy finish but another T20 series in the bag! Matthew Wade won Player of the Match whereas both Jhye and Kane Richardson were great with the ball”

Where the Australian batsman chased down Sri Lanka’s target easily and won the match by 3 wickets. Australia’s team scored 126 runs in 17.5 overs and lost 7 wickets. Australia batsman Matthew Wade became the player of the match, he scored 26 runs. Whereas another batsman Aaron Finch scored 24 runs in 13 balls, David Warner scored 21 runs in 10 balls and Glenn Maxwell scored 19 runs for his team.

Australia bowler Kane Richardson took 4 wickets for his team. On the other hand, against Sri Lanka, another bowler Jhye Richardson took 3 and Glenn Maxwell took 2 wickets. While Sri Lankan bowler Wanindu Hasaranga took 4 wickets for his team. Where another bowler Dushmantha Chameera and Nuwan Thushara took 1-1 wickets for their team.
