NEW ZEALAND TOUR OF IRELAND 2022: In the first T20I series played at the Civil Service Cricket Club in Belfast, New Zealand won the match against Ireland by 31 runs. In this match, Ireland won the toss and decided to bowl first and chased down New Zealand’s target.

New Zealand team scored 173 runs in 20 overs and lost 8 wickets. Where New Zealand batsman Glenn Phillips played brilliant innings against Ireland and became the Player of the Match, where he scored 69 runs in 52 balls. On the other hand, another batsman James Neesham scored 29 runs in 16 balls, Martin Guptill made 24 runs in 12 balls and Michael Bracewell scored 21 runs in 13 balls and scored a strong target against Ireland.

Cricket Ireland tweeted on Twitter and said, “A brilliant performance from New Zealand, as they take a 1-0 series lead 👏”

While Ireland’s batsmen could not chase New Zealand’s target and lost the match by 31 runs. While Ireland’s team scored 142 runs in 18.2 overs and lost 10 wickets. Ireland batsman Curtis Camper scored the most runs for his team, where he scored 29 runs in 21 balls. While another batsman Mark Adair scored 25 runs in 20 balls, George Dockrell scored 15 runs in 7 balls and Andrew Balbirini scored 12 runs in 7 balls.

New Zealand bowler Lockie Ferguson took 4 wickets in 3.2 overs and gave away 14 runs. While the other bowlers, James Neesham and Mitchell Santner, took 2-2 wickets, Ish Sodhi and Jacob Duffy took 1-1 for their team. On the other hand, Ireland bowler Joshua Little gave 35 runs with 4 wickets in 4 overs. While other bowlers Mark Adair took 2 wickets, George Dockrell and Curtis Camper took 1-1 against New Zealand.
