Sri Lanka beat Australia by 6 Wickets in 3rd ODI Series

AUSTRALIA TOUR OF SRI LANKA, 2022: Sri Lanka won the match against Australia by 6 wickets in the 3rd ODI series played at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. In this match, Australia won the toss and decided to bat first where Australia had set a target against Sri Lanka.

Australia’s team scored 291 runs in 50 overs and lost 6 wickets. Where Australia’s batsmen Travis Head and Aaron Finch played a brilliant inning against Sri Lanka, where Travis Head scored 70 off 65 balls and Aaron Finch scored 62 runs in 85 balls, where another batsman Alex Carey scored 49 runs, Glenn Maxwell 33 runs and Marnus Labuschagne made 29 runs to give his team a strong target against Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka Cricket tweeted on Twitter and said, “Take a bow, Pathum Nissanka 🙌 What a brilliant match-winning knock!”

While the Sri Lankan batsman easily chased down Australia’s target and won the match by 6 wickets. Where Sri Lanka’s team scored 292 runs in 48.3 overs and lost 4 wickets. Where Sri Lankan batsman Pathum Nisanka played brilliant innings against Australia and also became the player of the match, where he scored 137 runs in 147 balls. While another batsman Kusal Mendis scored 87 runs in 85 balls, Niroshan Dickwella and Dhananjay de Silva scored 25 runs for his team.

Sri Lankan bowler Jeffrey Vandersay took 3 wickets in 10 overs and conceded 49 runs. Where another bowler Dushmantha Chameera, Dunith Wellalage and Dhananjay de Silva took 1-1-1 wickets for their team. While Australia bowler Jhye Richardson took 2 wickets for his team. On the other hand, Josh Hazlewood and Glenn Maxwell took 1-1 wickets against Sri Lanka.
