Women American Basketball Player Sue Bird Going to get Retired

WNBA known as the Women’s National Basketball Association is one of the most famous sports played all around the world. It is the professional league in United Nations. It was founded on April 22, 1996, and is composed of 12 teams.

The founder of this league was David Stern and its headquarter is in New York.  There is a total of 12 teams which are divided into western and eastern. Women’s started playing in NBA in the year 1997 which was a year after WNBA was formed.

Six WNBA teams are associated with an NBA team from the same market and are known as sister teams. The current champion of the league was Chicago Sky.

Sue Bird is an American professional basketball player for the Seattle Storm in WNBA. She was drafted in 2002 from Seattle Storm and is considered to be one of the greatest players in WNBA history. But now she is going to get retired.

This is her last tour in the game. Storm fell to the Las Vegas aces in the WNBA semi-final on Tuesday. Las Vegas aces hit the storm by 97-92  in the game 4 semi-final. Her retirement brought her to tears and was also emotional for her fans and team member. She was one of the best amazing players in the WNBA.
